About the organisation

The organisation is a leading not for profit based in regional WA who provide a holistic and supervised Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Service to clients affected by alcohol and or other drug issues. They offer a range of different programs that will help clients achieve physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual well-being via medical treatment, individual and group counselling, education, psycho-social activities and group support.

About the role 

As the Clinical Counsellor working within the detox centre, you will be responsible for providing high-quality counselling & case management services to clients presenting with a range of mental health issues and substance abuse issues. 

This could be done via evidence based psychosocial interventions on both a group and one-to-one basis and also through the facilitation of community therapeutic groups and educational groups.

Key selection criteria 
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling 
  • Registration with relevant membership body (AASW, AHPRA, ACA/PACFA) 
  • Demonstrated postgraduate experience working in a Counselling capacity - preferably within mental health/AOD 
  • Excellent interpersonal & written communication skills
