The organisation is a leading not for profit based in regional WA who provide a holistic and supervised Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Service to clients affected by alcohol and or other drug issues. They offer a range of different programs that will help clients achieve physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual well-being via medical treatment, individual and group counselling, education, psycho-social activities and group support.

About the role 

The detox nurse will be responsible for implementing & providing nursing services in the medical detoxification & residential programs for clients suffering with AOD & Mental Health issues. The successful candidate will administer drugs, medications, treatments, inoculations & tests, implement verbal detox physician orders & authentication in writing, oversee all aspects of the detox patient admission process, execute medical interventions and more.

Key selection criteria 
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Nursing 
  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse 
  • Demonstrated experience in working with patients & families affected by alcohol & other drug issues 
  • Demonstrated experience in working with individuals with complex & co-occurring needs 
  • Excellent interpersonal & written communication skills
