Quantity Surveyor - Sydney - International Firm

About the role and client 
My client is a leading national advisory group in Australia, specializing in providing strategic advice and expert services to a wide range of clients across the Construction and Civil Industries. They are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team and continue their growth strategy. 

As a Quantity Surveyor within the advisory team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to their clients on all aspects of quantity surveying, including cost planning, procurement, contract administration, value engineering, and claims. You will be working closely with other members of their multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality services to clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying ideally from a Main Contracting background or another top 10 advisory firm with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. You will also have a proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of quantity surveying, including cost planning, procurement, contract administration, value engineering, and claims management. 
  • Work closely with other members of their multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality services to our clients.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and ensure that their expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A degree in quantity surveying or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in quantity surveying.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team of quantity surveyors.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in Australia.
  • Membership of a relevant professional organization, such as the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors.
